mY SUMMER VACATION
My summer vacation is an opportunity to visit places I haven't seen, places I want to see again, and/or visit my children and their families. My family is scattered. My elder daughter, Deanna, lives near Tampa, Florida. She married to Brett. She has two children and a dog. Nicholas, her older child lives in Sioux Falls. Morgan is still at home in her sophomore year of high school. Karen, my younger daughter lives in Phoenix with her husband, Mark. She is finishing her part of a book she is co-authoring.. My third child, Eric, lives near Melbourne, Australia. He and wife Tanya and children, Niamh and Seamus, are with their parents.
The specification for my summer vacation are decent weather, families that can spend time with us, several good golf courses, and mobility in the form of a car or rental car. Since we saw Karen and Mark in New York in December, we will bypass Phoenix this summer. Besides, it will most likely be uncomfortably warm. We also saw Deanna and her family in November, when they came here for a quick visit. And Eric will be coming to the United States in September, so we need to be at home at that time.
This year we are going to the mountains of Montana. We plan to re-visit the northwestern Montana, which we visited oh so many years ago. We stayed at Lake Blaine Lodge near Kalispell. The trip, of course, will include a visit to Glacier National Park, and we will cross the border to Lake Banff and visit that area..
We have set aside 21 days for the trip., which includes two contingency days..
