I was born in a bank. Actually the Cody, Wyoming hospital was on the second floor of the 1st National Bank Building.
The Early Years
When I was 10 years old, the family moved to Billings, Montana, where I attended their schools. I graduated from Billings Senior High School in 1958.
College
I attended college at Montana State College (now Montana State University) in Bozeman, Montana. I met my wife there, but after I graduated from the University of Utah.

Work Years
After graduating from MSC, I attended the U of Utah in a meteorology program paid for by the U. S. Air Force. I subsequently spent 29 years in the Air Force starting at Grand Forks AFB supporting B-52s, KC-135s, F-101s, and Minuteman missiles.
